Welcome to Obituary Ledger. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Obituary Ledger website located at obituaryledger.com (the "Site") and the services provided by Tropibyte, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using our Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.


1. Services Overview

Obituary Ledger provides an online platform for:

  • Publishing obituaries and life stories
  • Creating In Memoriam tributes
  • Hosting guest book entries and condolence messages
  • Distributing news features about deceased individuals
  • Classified advertisements

2. Account Registration

2.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or submit content to our Site.

2.2 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Please notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

By submitting an obituary, you represent that you are authorized to do soโ€”either as a family member, legal representative, or with the permission of the deceased's next of kin.

4. Payments and Refunds

4.1 Pricing

Our current pricing is displayed on the Site. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time, but changes will not affect previously completed orders.

4.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your complete credit card information.

4.3 Refund Policy

Due to the nature of our services, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis:

  • Before publication: Full refund available upon request
  • After publication: Refunds may be granted for technical errors on our part
  • Content disputes: We will work with you to correct errors rather than issue refunds for published content

5. Publication and Moderation

5.1 Review Process

Submitted obituaries may be reviewed before publication to ensure compliance with our content standards. We reserve the right to reject or remove content that violates these Terms.

5.2 Editing

We may make minor formatting adjustments to ensure proper display but will not alter the substance of your content without permission.

5.3 Permanence

Published obituaries are intended to remain online permanently as a lasting memorial. Removal requests will be considered but are not guaranteed.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

The Site design, logos, and original content created by Obituary Ledger are protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not use our branding without permission.

6.2 Third-Party Content

If you believe content on our Site infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us with details at legal@obituaryledger.com.

7. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Use automated systems to scrape or harvest content from our Site
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Use our services for fraudulent purposes
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of our Site
  • Post spam or unsolicited commercial messages

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

9. Limitation of Liability
